Software engineer with seven years in process automation, systems integration, and IT delivery. Currently in Wellington, finishing a Master of Software Development at Victoria University of Wellington.

Unusual path: I started as an organic chemist (Master's in organic chemistry, scaled up an antifungal drug from lab to industrial production), then taught myself programming, left the bench, and built a career in RPA and internal-systems work. Over seven years I delivered 30+ automation workflows at a Shanghai consultancy, then spent five years as IT Supervisor at a Swiss certification group's multinational.

Looking for: a software role in New Zealand: junior to mid-level backend or full-stack, or senior RPA. If your team builds in life sciences, lab automation, or digital health, my chemistry background is an unusual bonus.

Work rights: student visa with full work rights now. After I graduate in June 2026 I'll move to a 3-year Post-Study Work Visa, so no sponsorship is needed to hire me.
